Hurston Wright Writers' Week

I forgot to mention - I got accepted into the Hurston Wright Writers' Week being held at American University. I'll pretty much be inaccessible (I think) - Okay I plan on being inaccessible. At first I was to be in Steven Barne's class but got bumped because the class filled up, so now I will be studying under Patricia Elam. Such a small world being I already know Ms Elam - we practice Buddhishm together.

My goal for this week - that I am taking a full 40 hours of vacation from work for - is to finish my manuscript for Holler at the Moon. I'm six chapters from completion - got 27 chapters written. Got a helluva lotuv editing to do - but I welcome the work. My goal is to have a publishing deal for it this year!!!

I'm excited - can't wait to meet the new people - build new relationships but more importantly - write uninterrupted. I got a week - I got to make it count.
